This information applies to AFS Offroad dust covers, connector mounts, mounting gaskets and electrical accessories.

Dust covers are not waterproof

AFS Offroad dust covers are for dust and debris protection only. They are not waterproof, watertight or a complete water-ingress barrier.

Mounting gaskets and connector mounts also do not create a waterproof or watertight installation. Position all connectors in a protected location away from direct spray, high-pressure water and immersion. Inspect covers, connectors, cable entries and mounting surfaces regularly.

Electrical work requires a qualified installer

All electrical wiring and installation must be carried out by a suitably qualified electrician or auto electrician, as appropriate.

The installer must confirm the product is suitable for the vehicle and application, and select correctly rated cable, terminals, fusing and circuit protection. Disconnect power before any physical mounting or service work.

Physical mounting

Check both sides of the panel before drilling. Confirm rear clearance for connectors and cable bend radius, deburr drilled edges, and tighten mounting hardware only enough to secure the product. Do not overtighten.
