The Anderson SB175 plug is a large high-current power connector commonly used for battery, inverter, solar, 4WD, caravan, trailer, industrial, and heavy-duty power setups.
The SB175 plug uses a simple genderless design, meaning the same plug type connects to another matching SB175 plug. The housings are colour-coded and shaped to help prevent incorrect connections between different plug types.
The SB175 housing works with wire contacts up to 1/0 AWG / 50 mm², as well as busbar contacts. Silver-plated wire contacts allow currents up to 280 amps when fitted with the correct contacts and cable size.
The SB175 plug can also be connected or disconnected while power is flowing, up to 100 amps, making it suitable for battery and power applications where a strong removable connection is needed.
A chemical-resistant housing option is also available, extending the temperature range down to -40°C while offering improved UV and chemical resistance.
