Founder-led and workshop made
AFS Offroad is a founder-led Australian workshop built around hands-on problem solving. With a background in aviation and design, our approach is grounded in precision, reliability and purposeful engineering.
Our founder works directly across the process—from measuring connectors and developing CAD models to prototyping, test fitting, manufacturing and inspecting the finished part. Keeping design and production close together means practical feedback can go straight into the next revision.
Why we created the range
Reliable 12V connectors often end up hanging loose, cable-tied in place or fitted into improvised brackets. That can make an otherwise tidy electrical installation harder to access and less secure.
AFS Offroad mounts were created to solve that specific problem: purpose-built housings with sensible cable clearance, secure mounting points and clean plug layouts. The aim is simple—make a 12V installation look finished, keep the connector where it belongs and make it easier to use.
Designed for outdoor use
Our mounts are made from ASA-GF, a glass-fibre-reinforced material selected for functional outdoor parts. It combines stiffness and strength with UV and heat resistance suited to 4WD, canopy, caravan and workshop environments.
Material choice is only part of the design. Mounting-hole placement, cable clearance, gasket fit and plug access are considered together so the finished product works as a complete installation component.
CAD and 3D-printing expertise
Every AFS Offroad mount begins as a CAD model. Digital design and in-house 3D printing let us move quickly from an idea to a physical prototype, check real connector fitment and refine the details before production.
The same capability supports custom layouts, one-off functional parts and small-batch manufacturing. We focus on parts that need to fit properly, hold up outdoors and solve a real problem—not decorative prints.
