The grey Anderson SB50 plug is a compact, high-current power connector commonly used for 12V battery, solar, 4WD, caravan, trailer, and auxiliary power setups.
The SB50 plug uses a simple genderless design, meaning the same plug type connects to another matching SB50 plug. The housings are colour-coded and shaped to help prevent incorrect connections between different plug types.
The SB50 plug can handle up to 120 amps when fitted with the correct contacts and cable size. It can also be connected or disconnected while power is flowing, up to 50 amps.
SB50 plugs can suit cable sizes from #16 / 1.5 mm² through to #6 / 13.3 mm², depending on the contacts used.
